Irene Sacristan Gomez AKA Neri is no doubt the ultimate Boho dream girl!
We came across this Spanish beauty rocking our Primrose skirt on the limitless pages of Instagram and it was love at first sight!
We knew then and there we wanted to work with her! Now she’s covering our Insta feed as well as a lot of our stockists and we absolutely love it!
Neri dropped in to say hello a few weeks ago when she was in Sydney.
She spoke in her lovely Spanish accent, has amazing cheekbones but most importantly her down to earth personality and approach to life made use fall in love with her even more.

Turning her passion for fashion into reality, Neri and her beau ( the man behind the lens) have recently started their own clothing and lifestyle brand called Ottway The Label.
Check out what her label is all about in this interview with the boss lady herself plus more .

You’re a Spanish residing in Melbourne, where bouts in Spain are you from? And what made you move to Melbourne ?
Hola!! I came to Australia for love, yes for love haha and I couldn’t be happier with my decision, I love this country and my boyfriend. I’m Spanish, from a little town outside Toledo, a medieval city one hour from Madrid.

How did you fall into becoming a “Digital Nomad,” and what do you love most about your job?
Well, I have a degree in Marketing and Advertising, then when I moved to Australia I specialized myself in digital. I always liked and enjoyed creating digital campaigns.
On the other side, my dad is a professional photographer, so I’ve been in contact with cameras since the early days. The best thing of being a digital nomad is the flexibility that you have to move around.

We love your look and style, where does your inspiration come from?
Thanks so much! I love fashion and trying new things. Instagram always helps in terms of new ideas and I guess having the opportunity to travel gives you broader views and different trends from elsewhere.

How do you compare Australian fashion to European fashion?
That’s an interesting question. For me, the main difference is the seasonality. In Europe we have four main seasons changing significantly and here, it’s either Summer or Winter.
Mainly Summer, you can find more beachy options here!

Three things you can’t leave your house without? phone, multiple lipsticks and any kind of hat (if you know me I’m a mad hatter haha).

You just had a European Summer, tell us a bit about your trip and what you enjoyed the most while you were over there?
European summer is always the best. Long days, good weather, nice food, family and friends.

Three best tips for when travelling to Spain ?
Avoid July and August, get ready for some extra kilos(so many tapas) and bring an empty suitcase, you’ll find out why.

You’re not just a pretty face, you are a boss lady! Tell us about your label, Ottway The Label and where and how the idea was born.
Ottway The Label was born with the idea of bringing something different and unisex with a vintage touch. Can’t wait to show you all the new designs coming!

What’s something you love to do that no one really knows about?
One of the things that I love and I try to do every day to disconnect. So I put my headphones on, turn up the volume and dance crazily as if I were in my own video clip haha (it’s been always a dream :P).

Lastly, what’s been your favourite LL piece so far?
I really love all your linen pieces, and from the last collection, I especially like the Dancing daisy Midi skirt.

So where are you from originally?

I'm originally from Sweden, born and raised!

How long have you been here? Give us 3 words to describe Sydney and why you love it here so much?

I have been in Australia for a little more than a year now. Travelled the east coast for four months, then worked in a retail shop full time until recently when I started uni here.

My 3 words for Sydney must be 1. open-minded, 2. laidback, 3. home - I have started a life here in Sydney and it has become my home. There is not one thing I don't like about this city, because you can find everything here - beaches, national parks, skyscrapers, shopping, lakes, etc. And I love how everyone is active, are outside often, and how safe it feels here. And of course, the weather!! Coming from Sweden, I'm kind of over long and freezing winters. Sydney's climate suits me a little bit better hehe!

What made you start your own blog?

I have always been interested in photography and fashion, so I started my first blog about 10 years ago. It was a place for me to be creative in my own way where no one could say if it was right or wrong.

We love your style – where’s the inspiration derived from?

Firstly, thank you!! <33 I get most of my inspiration from Instagram. There are so much creativity on this platform and I can't get enough.

Who takes your gorgeous pictures?

Mostly is my beloved boyfriend, who gets to act insta-boyfriend 80% of the time we spend together. Bless him haha! But otherwise it can be anyone, I had my 10-year old sister take all my photos on my last family trip to Crete, and she absolutely loved it!

Favourite place to eat.

Since I'm vegan I obviously love any place who serves food I can indulge in hehe. But my favorites must be Verd (Manly) and Shift Eatery (Surry Hills) for lunch, and Golden Lotus (Newtown) for dinner.

Little lies is ...

.. a fabulous brand who I believe is going to go as far as the moon!

We have a quick chat with our lovely interstate agents about their roles as brand managers and their thoughts on Little Lies. Here's what they had to say...

I’m Kara “From The Make”

I’m the Brand Manager for Little Lies and also the Co Owner of The Make Agency.

The Make is in it’s 6th year, and we absolutely love what we do. To be able to work with awesome suppliers,
customers and product that we love everyday single day is an absolute privilege and is something we really remind ourselves not to take for granted.

1) What is your favourite LL piece that you can’t take off right now?

My favourite LL piece - hmm it’s hard to choose from this season but I am absolutely loving the Aspen Coat and I’m also obsessed with the new knitted pants that have arrived in!

 2) What do you love most about A/W time with LL?

As a Melbournian, Winter is my favourite fashion season. I’m all about layering and I LOVE LOVE a good Winter  coat.

3) Trends you are loving right now!

I’m loving wide leg pants this season, teamed back with a cool sneaker for a dressed down look.

Hi, I’m Natasha AKA Tash.
I have always had a passion for fashion, I have been a brand manager for over 12 years and I have worked with many amazing labels in this time.
Out of work I sing for a rock band called "Smoking Martha". I feel it’s so important to reflect your character with fashion on stage and in everyday life,
fashion is a great creative release. New trends excite me but I also love mixing new with vintage to create a unique look.

1) What is your favourite LL piece that you can’t take off right now?

At the moment I am loving my escape kimono (wearing) ramie linen pants and bubble knit cardi!!

2) What do you love most about A/W time with LL?

LL is perfect for our weather, so many great layering options for the tran-seasonal period.  The relaxed shapes and beautiful soft and natural fabrics are a must have for any Aussie girl.

3) Trends you are loving right now!

I am loving the Natural fabrics, linens, cottons etc.. so wearable, comfortable and effortlessly chic and of course the overalls. xx

Hi I’m Laura AKA the energetic, bubbly Scottish lassie that moved to Australia two and a half years ago.

I am the proud agent for Little Lies for the West Coast. I naturally am still fascinated by the beaches so I spend most of my time
either there or hopping around the endless food and cocktail joints. Absolutely love my job and I owe a lot of that t LL and the incredible team there...

1) What is your favourite LL piece that you can’t take off right now?

Has to be the Bubble cardi!!  Little Lies always gets the fabrication spot on and produces the softest and most incredible knitwear but this is on another level…it’s like wearing a hug!!!
Love to layer it with a cami underneath now (whilst it’s in between seasons), with jeans and a little boot but when the temp drops I double up my doze of LL knits, grab my Friday jumper and I am all set

2) What do you love most about A/W time with LL?

I love how LL takes you through every stage of Autumn and Winter and bring out pieces that you can carry right through because they are so easy to layer and are always relevant.
Not to mention the fact that A/W is typically when my wardrobe grows to the point of bursting when every single, cardi, jumper and coatigan are an absolute must have!!
You guys make my mornings so much easier when I know I am chucking on one of my favourite labels

3) Trends you are loving right now!

I love the effortlessly cool look of a black skinny jean, printed tee and checked blazer (the Alicia Jacket is ideal when creating this look)!
Wear during the day with a little black boot and then stick on a pair of heels to head straight out for drinks after work.

My name is Sarah and I have worked in the fashion industry for 8 years over in Wholesale, retail and now sales, love seeing every facet of the industry and working on all sides.
The aspect about my role is working with all the different stores and buyers and meeting so many amazing people!

1)  What is your favourite LL piece that you can’t take off right now?

Aspen coat is hands down my fave! Love the simplicity of it and that I can style it back with my check mini skirt or ripped jeans! Cant wait for it to be freezing to wear it everyday!

2)  What do you love most about A/W time with LL?

The versatility of everything, I have a fairly basic style so love how easy it is to grab a LL piece and throw together an outfit! I can wear all the pieces together and it works every time!

3)  Trends you are loving right now!

Mini skirts, knits and oversized coats!!! And anything checked!! And the Bubble knit on Bronnie is incredible!!!
